what you were saying about science
1. I do actually still care about doing comics, I just think its nigh impossible here. 2. I think if it was more of a theoretical type deal, like Einstein , you do have something there. An artist CAN be a kind of gonzo type, their life doesn't have to be quite as organized . I have seriously considered pharmacy clerk though - I heard you mainly just have to memorize pills . So, that is a job I'd consider if I was able to get work as one. I think the life of a scientist, like , they have to usually devote their whole life to a very specific thing most often , like , the hibernation of a specific species of Arctic vole or something. I dont like that. I think there's a lot of stuff that I'd be pissed I couldnt do because of the FDA , and because of ethics. And you need clout. There was a time when I was young when I seriously thought about this. Part of it was that I didn't want to go to college, but a major part was the above. Not being able to study what I want in pharmacology and not being able to reccomend the "treatments" I would have in mind. I didn't think I would have really jived with science people. Scientists tend to be really unwilling to put their own lives on the line for research. My favorite scientists are all people who chose to do this, like Robert Hooke , john c Lilly, Albert Hoffman, and Alexander shulgin.
