Capcom Oracle of Seasons and Ages

Apologize if I get anything wrong- haven't got the original pamphlet that comes with the game and haven't finished my replay. But I've played them a lot of times. This GBC cartridge is one of the most familiar and comforting gaming experiences for me. These carts were in good color with a good soundtrack for the GBC. The chiptunes take me back. For me, playing this cart is like the retro gaming equivalent of the taste of a chocolate chip cookie specifically the exact way my mother used to make them. I would've said a warm mug of cocoa, but I don't drink cocoa because I can't drink milk. Ive played and replayed pokemon red , blue, crystal,so many times that its gotten repetitive, but this game isn't turn based. Im in prison, so I haven't been able to replay it in a long time , but they recently put it up on suck-cure-us. These capcom Zelda's were unique because they weren't Nintendo . They had a unique flair to them, which I liked. The dungeons really shined. My favorite top down Zelda is Links Awakening DX. But the Oracles , for me , remain one of the most soothing and nostalgic experiences in all of gaming , period, because of the age I was when I played them. These two games were my intro to the franchise, and I remember crushing on the sugary anime style characters that flesh out the weird kingdom of "holodrum". Many of which are interesting alternate designs to the ones in all the other Zelda's. Impa the bodyguard is branded as a big , stout woman with a sort of truckers smirk. I seem to remember a cute girl with green afropuffs - was that a picture of Saria from the pamphlets ? All I know is, I've mysteriously grown up with a thing for green afropuffs. Anyway - this isnt a review but if it was I can't rate these games. They hold the value to me of a cherished stuffed animal or "blankie". But unlike a child's toy, this is a piece of software that can't be as easily lost to time.
