Prison censorship
comics I really want to read and can't because I'm in prison... itagakis new one shot 'drip drip' .
Goldstein's review of paru itagaki's new manga:
"drip drip stands as a testament that a manga author should not be defined solely by one work"
"right away, its clear itagaki wants to do something different , totally moving away from anthropomorphic animals "
" the story gets into deeper, more mature subject matter: sex, love, trauma' and bodily functions. It all revolves around the question of what constitutes 'dirty' , which turns out to be a complex question and even gets philosophical here and there. "
blarg. I realize there's a discrepancy between an artists personality and their work, but I think I'd like to meet someone like itagaki . Too bad I can't read this due to the draconian mail policy .
Also, the remake of tezukas 'atom : the beginning ' by tetsuro kasahara looks cool. There's also a new junji ito with a cool cover called liminal spaces that's rated t+ , and a review for a horror collection called PTSD radio by masaki nakayama that looks very cool.
