I was brainstorming ideas for ' the freak ' and I drew this awesme guy, he's got a super long face and a ploopy chin, and giant ears, his hair is really long and wispy, and he's got antlers and beady little eyes. He wears a black kimono, and coming out of the bottom, instead of legs, is the body of a slug. He's holding a long erhu which is balanced on an asian looking stool . He looks kind of like something out of a Kitaro comic. I've named him ' Basho ' after whoever basho was ( a poet ? ). Then I tried to get closer to the design I wanted for the freak, I wanted him to be very hairy and fucked up looking. He ended up being a sort of space elf with really thick dreads and long bony fingers and big gauges that give his elf ears a unique shape . I decided their band could be called ' Slug Wizard ' .
